Elvis Duran Where do I begin?

If you're a fan of Top 40 Radio, you probably know Elvis Duran.  Considered to be the God-father of modern Morning Show Radio, Elvis has finally chronicled his extraordinary rise from a young aspiring disc jockey from small-town Texas to New York's most listened to media personality on Z100's Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.

"Where do I begin" is a fantastic journey from the get-go.  Elvis takes us on a very intimate ride through the entertainment industry including behind-the-scenes revelations from his most infamous interviews with Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and my favourite, Mariah Carey.

What surprised me about "Where do I begin" is the love story between Elvis and the city he calls home, New York.  His description of the people, places and even the food can only be described as a love letter to the Big Apple, which makes for a very sumptuous reading experience.  It's also refreshing to read about an entertainer of Elvis' calibre who is actually contented with his career, personal life and his beloved city.

For anyone attempting to enter the entertainment industry, this is a must-read. For fans of  Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, the book provides a surprisingly intimate look into the personalities and events that have shaped the show and made it number 1 for so many years.  Particularly, Elvis' description of the broadcast during 9/11 will leave you floored.  This is an emotionally charged and intimate portrait of an amazing entertainer.
