Andrea Bocelli - Believe (Deluxe Edition)
Andrea Bocelli may be just what we need in these strange times. His "Believe" is an uplifting, spiritual experience that showcases some of the Italian tenor's best vocals.
The highlights are many. Bocelli proves he's still on the level of the world's greatest tenors on "You'll Never Walk Alone", with his powerful, yet intimate take on the well-known ballad. Most of us have probably heard Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" covered by dozens of artistes, but I guarantee you've never heard it performed with as much emotion and verve as Bocelli's interpretation.
The duets alone are a reason to own this album. The combination of Bocelli and revered bluegrass singer Alison Krauss is pure magic on "Amazing Grace", while renowned Mezzo-Soprano, Cecilia Bartoli gives Bocelli the standout song of the album, "Pianissimo" with her soaring vocal style. Look for this being included in every Classical Playlist, the stripped-down, quiet piano paired with the two soaring operatic voices is absolutely stunning.
Whether you're a long-time fan or like me, discovering Bocelli for the first time, "Believe" is the feel-good, uplifting body of work that was crafted to inspire, especially in these dark times.
